With Mother’s Day approaching, I can’t help but think of the day that my life changed forever. My amazing little Maxton came into this world in a fury & I can’t imagine my life without this little guy. Watching him grow & change is the best gift I could ever have. He’s the best, most snuggly, funniest, and smartest little man on the planet. Just had to share some pics of my first day as a mom that have been bringing a tear to my eye this week…

I just love him.

And, does this even look like the same kid?? I can’t believe how much he’s changed.

It was a busy busy weekend, but such a great time with my BFF & business partner, Carolina! I really missed Kevin & Max, but made up for it on Sunday when we spent the day together. Dallas weather is rainy and cold right now, so last night I brewed up a batch of homemade French Onion soup for tonight. It just feels good to be with family & cook them a delicious meal.

I have some BIG plans this weekend…

A special treat for my dear friend & business partner, Carolina! We’re having a spa day, staying the night in a hotel, and then taking a trip to Austin to meet a new client. A little business & pleasure… Hey, we’ve both worked until the wee hours of the night for weeks on our design projects. We deserve it!

This weekend was, literally, insane! So much fun and WAY too much packed into just three days… But, it was the best of everything with a little drama mixed in, too (like my car exploding on the way home from a Fort Worth design install & having to break into my own home before a rock show). Now… for sleep!

In celebration of Hello, Splendor’s First Birthday, Studio Surface is giving away an amazing bracelet from their new collection! Valued at $85, this modern bracelet was created from cocobolo and sterling silver. Cocobolo is a beautiful highly figured wood species and this piece was finely crafted by hand.
