The Warm Side of Pantone Color Trends: Fall 2011

It’s amazing how color can affect us in so many different ways…it can make us happy, hungry, calm or cozy. Every year Pantone releases its color trends for spring and fall which influence fashion and home trends for the season.  Considering I am not a big sports fan and my husband took the TV over this weekend.  I had plenty of time to look thru a ton of websites, magazines and catalogs.  Here are some of the fun things I found that reveal the warmer side of the Fall 2011 Pantone color trends.

At PULP we love a good before and after! Some of our favorite projects are the ones that provide instant gratification.  We call those small projects PULP petite.

This is one of the entry foyers we recently transformed for one of our clients.  Its amazing what a little paint, a new console, light fixture and rearranging some existing items (antlers) can do!  My favorite part about the this project was our client’s husband (who is obviously a hunter) was so excited we used his antlers in the design.  I believe his words were ” Now this is what I call a designer throwing a husband a bone”.  Now thats gratification!

So what do you think? Do you like the before or after better?

a getting to know you link party!

I’m so excited about the new changes on Hello, Splendor that were announced last week and being a part of it. I’ve known Beth for a long time and spend more time with her than I do with my husband.  It’s actually ridiculous…I mean we are like sister wives.  This has been a big year for the both of us.  I should have known big things would happen on the year of the rabbit….of course, I’m a rabbit! So far I decided to take the plunge and do PULP Design Studios full time, I got married, became a godmother and I’m now a blogger.  I look forward to adding my view on things to the blog. After all, I have never come up short on opinions about fashion, design, food, TV, movies…and the list goes on. On top of that I’ll share a little about myself and my family, which include my husband and four legged furry child Ripsi.  Looking forward to the things that come, hope you are too!

I know Beth has met some wonderful people and even made great friends thru Hello, Splendor.  I can wait to meet you and get to know you!
