bits and baubles from my week…

This week has been an exciting week! Some downs, but mostly ups… Here are some of the highlights…

1. You may remember me being ready to pull my hair out? That’s because the family we were doing nanny share with backed out on us… we’ve been on countless waiting lists for day cares and we’re afraid that with two full-time jobs we would be left without child care. But, after a feverish search, we found an amazing school for Max that had one spot open! While we’re sad to see our beloved nanny go, we can’t wait for Maxton to get an education and have a ton of fun socializing. So, the ‘down’ turned into an ‘up’… and it’s only gone up from there!

2. The AphroChic pillow giveaway is kicking in high gear and has had a great response… There’s still time to enter today and over the weekend! The winner will be selected Monday morning. Hurry. Go. Enter!

3. I was interviewed over on The Someday Blog… and… Jill is doing a giveaway of one of my necklaces… Hop on over and enter the giveaway!

4. Speaking of necklaces… I launched my new etsy site this week! I used to make jewelry for a living, but now I just do it for fun… I figured, hey, why not set up shop? 

5. My friend, and Hello, Splendor contributor, Fabulous K posted some teasers of some exciting collaborations we’re working on. Love that girl!

6. Michelle, one of my dearest friends in San Diego, was interviewed on the AphroChic Blog and I couldn’t be more excited for her! 

7. In more AphroChic news, my e-friend announced that she’s going to be a guest judge on HGTV Design Star! I am so very happy for her and she deserves all the good things that come her way.

8. Aspiring Kennedy had an amazing blog makeover, by the lovely Fabulous K Creative (of course! Fab K will soon be designing this blog, too!), and she’ll be celebrating on Monday with a Hello, Splendor giveaway!
