Blog For Digs :: My Childhood Bedroom Was…

Welcome to the first Blog For Digs fundraiser, hosted by Stonehouse Love, benefitting Dwell With Dignity. Our challenge was to create a progressive blog chain to raise awareness about Dwell With Dignity, all while finishing the statement “My childhood bedroom was…”, along with telling what the one thing was that we always wish we had. Here goes…

the disastrous result of my constant search for comfort. The one thing that I always wanted was a water bed and a bean bag. In my teens, I was lucky enough to get both!! Pure bliss at the time… Looking back it was just plain hideous. (I wish I had pictures, but, let’s be honest… we really don’t want to go back) In a perfect world, my 80’s childhood bedroom looked something like this…

These days, I have no desire to own a water bed. But, I am still constantly searching for comfort… And, in a shocking twist (as a luxury residential interior designer by trade), I just bought myself a bean bag last week as an early christmas gift. Being an interior designer, I was up against an ethical dilemma with this monstrosity. But, I have to say, it may be the best choice I’ve ever made! A scene like this one makes it all worth it… my search for comfort ends here!

See what the lovely Amy of House of Wentworth wished for when she shares her childhood bedroom tomorrow…

And, please, be sure to visit the Dwell With Dignity website and become a member for as little as $30 to give deserving families the home they always wished for!!
