Business of Design — Preparing for an Install

Pulp design studios install of traditional home showhouse

The installation is one of the most exciting parts of the design process. Installs are a lot of work and often result in long + busy days, but are the time when both our team and our interior design clients get to see their spaces come together. While the finished result is always worth it, there is a lot of physical work that goes into preparing and transforming a space. For our clients + design friends, this is our guide to preparing for your interior design install…

remove any furnishings and rugs that will not remain in the room . The install and delivery crew can assist with this, but will lead to a longer service time. Take advantage of the newly cleared space by vacuuming or sweeping to allow for new rugs and large furnishing pieces. For kid's rooms and play spaces, we recommend clearing any toys from the floor to prevent injury to the install crew. Let us know where you'd prefer the delivery truck and crew park for the duration of the install. The closer to your home we can park, the better. Keep the number of stairs and doorways in mind- fewer obstacles helps expedite the installation process. The installation is part of our full service design process. that means we will take care of everything from the beginning to end, and you can sit back and relax. You are welcome to be in or out of the house as long as we can gain entry to the home. We are just as excited as you are to see your designs come to life. Have questions? Send them our way. pulpdesignstudios.com
