JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER / SEATTLE, WA – 3-4 YEARS EXPERIENCE

Full-Time 

In need of a formally educated Interior Designer who possesses the hustle of hospitality design, but the passion for detail and client satisfaction of residential design.

The Jr. Designer will provide project design support on projects from inception to final installation.  Integrating our Pulp aesthetic and applying all work into our curated processes is essential.  Essentially every project takes on two clients, the actual client and Pulp itself.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • From attending design consultations and project meetings, programming, space planning, job site visits, finish and furnishing selections, design presentations, vendor coordination and pricing, typing specifications, to attending and managing design installations, client relations; we pursue the highest level of completion for every task.
  • Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter who works autonomously as part of our team, blends seamlessly into the Pulp culture and realizes that at Pulp, there is no task too big or too small for someone to roll up their sleeves and help out. The selected candidate will complete project related errands, as well as general office tasks and errands when needed to ensure a smooth flow of delivery.  Additionally, the Junior Interior Designer may be asked to undertake Intern management from time to time.
  • Reflecting the Pulp attitude and service, our Junior Interior Designer will act as a liaison between Principals and Senior staff, vendors, clients, and consultants.  Clear, efficient communication is essential in this role as the team manages multiple projects across the country simultaneously while achieving our highest Pulp Design standards.
  • Proven experience in successful client communication and customer service that reflect the corporate brand and values is a cornerstone of every role at Pulp.  As are multi-project design abilities managing various projects in various phases at once while meeting all internal and client deadlines.
  • We are passionate about all things design, so being ready and open to special projects involved in client & customer management is the kind of adaptability we are searching for in our next Junior Interior Designer.

Our business requires more than great design to be successful, so additional responsibilities may include product design, website, marketing, and social media related tasks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional:Degree in Interior Design with 3-4 years work experience
  • Multi-tasker: Balance multiple tasks and projects at once, in a high-paced environment
  • Client-focused:Customer service and/or client interaction experience
  • Technically skilled: AutoCAD experience. Studio Webware experience is a plus.
  • Moldable:Quickly learn new processes, procedures, and user interfaces
  • Experienced:Hands-on renovation and new-construction job site experience. Previous professional office experience, especially in a start-up culture, is a plus.
  • Communicator:Communicates clearly and effectively
  • Autonomous:Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Mobile: Must have a working vehicle for office & client-related errands
  • Proficient:Mac/Apple based user knowledge

Personal Assistant with Marketing Savvy / Seattle, WA –  recently filled

Full-Time 

Looking for a personal assistant, with 2-3 years experience, for our co-owners. Will work in the Seattle office, with remote responsibilities for our Dallas and Los Angeles offices. The ideal candidate would have professional office experience, startup experience a plus. Ability to quickly adapt, think critically, and fit our company culture is more important than current work experience. There is an opportunity for those with marketing and social media savvy to professionally develop their skillset by assisting in the day-to-day marketing related tasks as well as special projects. 

At Pulp, no day is the same, but your main responsibilities will be to provide executive level support for the senior staff, keep the office running smoothly and assist with day-to-day and special marketing tasks/projects. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as first point of contact in the office.
  • Responsible for scheduling, receiving and reporting mail, packages, courier deliveries. 
  • Assist with general HR and bookkeeping-related tasks. 
  • General office and personal tasks and errands
  • Office maintenance, including managing inventory and organization of office supplies, contractor scheduling, etc. 
  • Book and arrange travel and accommodations for senior staff.
  • Responsible for scheduling and set up of team and vendor meetings. 
  • Manage time entry, mileage, receipts and expense reports for senior staff. 
  • Assist in planning team/office functions, lunches, sample sales, trade events, etc. 

In addition, looking for someone with marketing savvy that can assist with: 

  • Routine website and blog updates
  • Assist with development and execution of blog posts, newsletter and email blasts 
  • Social media posts, outreach, and communication 
  • Web traffic reporting 
  • Special projects involved in client & customer management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to interact with clients and vendors in a professional manner.

  • Knowledge & experience in various popular social media platforms
  • Graphic design experience (and/or savvy) a plus
