here and there: Garden Cafe

This past weekend we stopped for lunch at Garden Cafe, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in town. Tucked away in the historic Junius Heights district, it’s one of Dallas’ best kept secrets. Garden Cafe is only open for breakfast and lunch, but they deliver on both fronts. They grow their own vegetation in the garden behind the restaurant and their food is amazing. My favorite part is that you can dine in their gorgeous garden, too! It just feels like a peaceful getaway that’s kid and dog friendly. One thing I didn’t know, which really peaked my interest, was that it’s byob… Which means, on Saturday and Sunday brunch you can bring a bottle of champagne and buy a carafe of orange juice to make your own mimosas! I think I know where I’ll be on the weekends. If you’re in or near Dallas, you must try this spot! And, please, stop by my favorite kids shop, Little Bean… they’re right next door!
