here and there: Smoke

The restaurant, Smoke, certainly lives up to it’s name! With a heavy focus on barbecue and a commitment to local ingredients, Smoke gives Dallasites a chic alternative to your typical picnic table eateries. Last weekend we visited this restaurant, which is situated at the Belmont Hotel in Oak Cliff, and dined on brunch. It was fantastic! The food was amazing, though a bit on the heavy side (in a good way), and the drinks were absolutely delicious. The bloody mary was one of the best I’ve had and the mimosas are bottomless. Aside from the food, the ambiance and decor were great. It’s casual, yet still posh and interesting. I definitely plan to visit again and maybe try for dinner! Oh, and thanks to Kevin, Heather, Jeff, and, of course, Maxton for good company and great conversation…
