When this family of lawyers approached Pulp Design Studios, they had two goals for their home. They wanted a more updated and personal design, and they wanted lighter and brighter interiors. Incredible details like an inglenook fireplace weren’t getting their moment to shine because the house was so dark and dated. The Pulp team gave the house a micro-renovation with paint, wallcoverings, and new furnishings to create a welcoming and luminous home.

An inglenook fireplace is a unique touch that’s rare in today’s homes. We painted it a dark chocolate color to highlight the existing tile and make it feel more special.

Nooks and corners also were reconfigured to become intimate gathering spaces, perfect for our clients who love to entertain small groups of friends and family. The family was ready to embrace bold colors and adventurous design ideas, and Pulp delivered with bold blues in the kitchen, a pop of coral in the dining room, and a graphic wallcovering in the living area – all of which is highlighted by a super-white paint for the woodwork and walls. We also framed the inglenook fireplace in a deep chocolate color to help give it the attention it deserves. The result is a home that’s eclectic and bold, and that supports and defines this fabulous family’s lifestyle.
