LAUNCH — Kismet Lounge

It’s fitting that the first full home goods and accessories collection from designers Beth Dotolo and Carolina V. Gentry — the powerful duo behind Dallas-based firm Pulp Design Studios — would be named Kismet Lounge. The symbiotic, globetrotter style they share makes their partnership seem like fate. “We both love to entertain and to design entertaining space,” Gentry says, “so we wanted to create an exclusive collection of home goods that would make these spaces beautiful and give our clients the function they need.” With a shared passion for adventure and travel the two found inspiration in Gemini’s astrological twins and in the ancient Egyptian symbol for feminine power ad creativity, the Eye of Ra. They translated the iconic emblems to items like candles, graphic black-and-white washable cotton tea towels and throws, and coasters in matte black and brass — “a trend we absolutely love in interiors,” Dotolo says. Their pieces are housed online, along with other curated items from the designers.
