The modern farmhouse-style home is layered with lush details, swaths of color, and imbued with custom details throughout.

“Our clients love to entertain or just hang out with friends and family, and they use every inch of this home. We wanted to give them spaces that would flow well as people move through the home and into the outdoor areas,” shares Carolina Gentry, principal of Pulp Design Studios, regarding this stunning new build. Having relocated from New York City, this bustling family tapped Gentry and fellow principal Beth Dotolo, to help achieve the home of their dreams. “We wanted to offer a lot of functionality in every room,” notes Gentry. “We were very thoughtful about making it a home that people would want to come back to over and over.” The result? A perfectly blended use of form and function throughout a sprawling 6,500-square-foot space. “This family was definitely unafraid of color, which we love,” says Dotolo.

“The Pulp team likes to add that sense of adventure in what we do, but we’re also very thoughtful about where and how to use color. So you’ll see bold black in the study, which also serves as a home office, where that deep hue creates a coziness and a focus. But in the primary suite, we went with an organic neutral palette to offer an oasis for our clients.” A few showstopping details include a custom bar featuring a muscovite backsplash, a floating credenza from Simon Johns, a Noguchi coffee table custom painted by local Dallas artist Kenley Turner and magnolia porch swings.
