NKBA Unveils its NKBA Insiders Class of 2018
Amid the glitz and glamour of its KBIS 2018 Opening Night Gala, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) unveiled a reenergized NKBA Insiders program and its Class of 2018. With its continued evolution, the NKBA Insiders program brings a renewed purpose to empower the industry through the sharing of actionable global design insights. Each of the seven 2018 NKBA Insiders was hand selected as the thought leader in his or her area of design expertise and for an ability to push boundaries and infuse global knowledge and experience into a growing kitchen and bath industry to positively impact the residential built environment.
The NKBA Insiders Class of 2018:
Bob Borson, FAIA, LEED AP, principal, Michael Malone Architects, Inc.
Bobby Berk, owner, Bobby Berk Interiors + Design
Stacey Bewkes, founder, Quintessence
Beth Dotolo, co-founder, Pulp Design Studios
Carolina Gentry, co-founder, Pulp Design Studios
Grace Jeffers, owner, Grace Jeffers Design
Elle H-Millard, CKD, industry relations manager, National Kitchen & Bath Association
“This is such an exciting time for the kitchen and bath industry as we proudly welcome our NKBA Insiders Class of 2018,” said NKBA Executive Vice President of Industry Relations and Chief Strategy Officer Suzie Williford. “These incredible professionals are doing amazing things for the design world, and, as a team of Insiders, will together bring our members and the industry invaluable insight into the current and future state of residential design.”
NKBA Insiders are tasked with a specific design focus. Each will travel the globe throughout the year and report back on findings and areas of opportunity for business growth to brands and designers. Topics were selected by the NKBA in a collaborative effort to focus on those topics of most interest to firm owners and manufacturers as they make critical growth planning decisions for their businesses and plan to navigate the global design market.
The 2018 Insiders will uncover insights and report back on the following areas of design focus: Bobby Berk – multi-generational and convertible living spaces; Bob Borson – design technology; Grace Jeffers – materials and products for Good Living (health, wellness and sustainability); Stacey Bewkes – authentic luxury; Beth Dotolo and Carolina Gentry – artisans and makers; and Elle H-Millard – business of design.
“The kitchen and bath industry is global,” said Williford. “Our newly elevated Insiders program is just one of many NKBA efforts this year dedicated to connecting with the global design community as we look to empower our members and grow our industry. Our 2018 NKBA Insiders will be scouring the globe to bring back actionable insights and create meaningful relationships with international brands and designers, and I can’t wait to see what they uncover.”
