Sometimes a house has good bones but lacks excitement and individuality in the interiors. This Washington home on a golf course with mountain views needed a personal touch and more customization, which the Pulp team is known for. Our clients brought us in for our signature micro-renovation service, with a full renovation on the Primary Bath. We rescaled the furnishings and lighting, commissioned art to add originality and color, and modernized details like the fireplace to freshen the design.
 
Like many couples, our clients included one person who is a super sports fan and a second person wanting a chic home that didn’t look like a sports bar. The Pulp team specializes in making everyone in the home happy, so we added details like logos on chic pillows that can be turned to a blank side when company calls.

The owner is a huge New Orleans Saints superfan and he asked to incorporate team logos, but his wife was not on board. So we gave him little hidden easter eggs, like pillows in his office that have a logo on one side but can be flipped and hidden when needed.

For the primary bedroom, we had a lot of fun with wallcoverings,
using an understated pattern on the ceiling and layering in grasscloth on the walls.
A rug on the carpet and a sumptuous collection of bedding makes this a chic retreat.

We also reworked the media/game room into zones that look more purposeful and defined. Unique touches throughout the house include wallpaper on the ceilings and textural materials such as shagreen and velvets. Pulp delivered a home that functions for this family, while also reflecting their personality and style.

Creating zones in the bonus room gave it more purpose and made it seem more refined. We covered the upper walls and ceiling with wallpaper for a cozy feel. And now there’s a place to watch TV, a space to play board games, and an area to have drinks with friends.
