The Splendid List: Father’s Day 2010

Father’s Day is fast approaching, so I’ve asked some of my favorite people to give us their picks for dear old dad! I asked them ‘What is the perfect gift for the modern dad?‘… Here’s what they said:

Lauren (aka Fairy Godmother… aka Aspiring Kennedy) said: “In my family, it’s a tradition that my dad always get a Hermes Tie on Father’s Day. This year I think I am going to bring him away from patterns of tiny horses, and update his wardrobe with a fresher look. I love this geometric purple design!”  

Grant (aka The Bon Voyager) says “A digital photo for Dad’s office is the perfect gift even if Dad is less than tech savvy. They are easy to set up and you can pre-load the frame with a lifetime of memories. There is a wide range in prices but one of the ones I like best is the Specchia Parrot Digital Frame from Nest.“

Kelly (aka Fabulous K) thought these cufflinks would make a great gift for the modern dad! Silhouettes are very on trend and when you can sport your favorite people on your sleeve, what could be better?? And, have you seen Fabulous K’s Site?? Let’s face it, this is right up Papa Fabulous’ alley!

Kevin (aka Papa Splendor) found a shirt of the month club through J Crew. You specify your size and they send you a new shirt each month throughout the year. How cool is that??!! It’s the stylish gift that keeps on giving…

On a special note, this Father’s Day is Kevin’s first. Happy Father’s Day to an amazing new Dad. Max and I love you more than you know!
