The Splendid List: Rules To Break

“Because how boing is that?! Loving life and being silly are some of the best morsels life can hand you. And, having good friends that can play along is even better.”
Beth,

“I’m not usually the rebellious type but when it comes to Dessert for Breakfast I am a renegade! Give me a piece of cheesecake or strawberry flan at 8am anytime! Life’s too short not to have fun.”

Jessica,
“A rule made to be broken? The unspoken expectation that a couple must have a ‘first dance’ at their wedding. We have never danced, it’s just not us. So, our ‘first dance’ would have literally been just that! We saved ourselves a lot of angst by skipping it altogether, and nobody even noticed!
I did however, share a special moment on the dance floor with my Dad, that was one rule I needed to keep.”

Jessica,
“I am a native Chicagoan and anyone from Chicago will tell you that you do not put ketchup on a hot dog. This is a local rule, but one that people feel very strongly about. A Chicago style hot dog has mustard, onions, relish, tomatoes, pickle spear, celery salt & sport peppers. No ketchup! Unfortunately I was a very picky eater as a kid and the only way to get me to eat a hot dog was to slather it in ketchup. Yum! That habit has never (and will never) be broken. I like my Chicago style hot dogs with ketchup. Sorry, Chicago. Oh and no onions!”

Lindsay,
What is your favorite rule to break??
