This University Park, Dallas luxury interior design project by Pulp Design Studios is a masterclass in gilded modern style — proof that a home doesn’t have to be fully renovated to be completely transformed. Working room by room, we brought fearless design to a classic Dallas home, starting with two of the most-used entertaining spaces: a bespoke ladies lounge and a dramatic dining room redesign. The result is layered, collected, and unapologetically glamorous — the kind of interior that stops guests in their tracks. The brief was simple: a room for cocktails, mahjong, and the particular pleasure of a space that answers to no one. The ladies lounge sits just off the main living areas, but it operates on its own frequency entirely. Forest green velvet curves against dusty plum. A zebra rug grounds the seating like a piece of collected art. Overhead, a tiered brass fringe chandelier hangs against a gold marbled ceiling wallcovering — the detail that makes the whole room make sense. It’s glamorous without announcing it. The kind of room you walk into and immediately feel more like yourself.

A sweeping graphic wallcovering in black and white brings an unexpected graphic energy to what could have been a purely functional space. The desk is a single slab of veined stone — generous, grounded, unapologetic. Custom cabinetry in cool slate keeps the chaos out of sight. It’s small, intentional, and quietly one of the best rooms in the house.
