This Family Home Proves Luxury Design and Well Lived Spaces Do Go Together

Inside a Lakeside Seattle Home Renovation In Progress

We’ve been working our way through a whole-home interior design project for these Seattle clients over the past few months and seeing their home take shape has been so exciting for us all! We first introduced you to this project a few months ago during the design phase and early installs, so boy is it time for an update! Check out our initial introduction to this project to get a recap of the who, what, when, where and why!

Entry

WHAT WE’RE WORKING ON

Our clients really wanted a statement light fixture in the entry, but space constraints meant we had to get creative to give them the impact they were hoping for, without compromising good design.

THE PROGRESS

When wallcovering can be the answer, we never say no. We covered the ceiling of the entry in an amazing Phillip Jeffries wallcovering that makes the cool, art-like fixture we selected seem that much better.

WHAT’S NEXT

These clients have an awesome art collection that we’re integrating throughout the house. We couldn’t find exactly the pedestal we wanted to display one of their sculptures in the entry, so we had it custom made and can’t wait to see it installed in the entry!

Home Bar

WHAT WE’RE WORKING ON

Our clients love to entertain and have the perfect home for it. We’re turning their basement level into an entertaining Mecca, complete with a home bar that would give the best bar in your city a run for it’s money.

THE PROGRESS

We installed an amazing geometric tile from TileBar that gives all kinds of M.C Escher vibes. Seeing the backsplash come together completely set the tone for the rest of the space and gave even the smallest of details an extra punch of personality.

WHAT’S NEXT

Some sort of amazing party or gathering to Christen the new space!

Playroom

WHAT WE’RE WORKING ON

Our clients have three kids, and in addition to designing their bedrooms, we got to take on their playroom. We’re creating a durable space that has playful, but very sophisticated details, like a statement wallcovering from S .Harris, and tons of storage and organization!

THE PROGRESS

The wallcovering made a huge impact in the space — we love how subdued it is, while making the space feel full of life. We also designed tons of built-in storage for the space, complete with a desk perfect for homework or craft time, that are looking amazing and making all the difference!

WHAT’S NEXT

We’re giving our mini-clients all the things a kid’s dream playroom should have — a comfortable spot to watch movies, a desk for homework (okay, maybe that’s not every kid’s dream, but it’s important too!), storage for art supplies, and most importantly, a place to just play and be kids… in style!

Family Room

WHAT WE’RE WORKING ON

As part of the basement level entertaining and family time Mecca, we’re creating a super comfortable area for our clients and their guests to relax and soak up the space, whether it be for a movie night or summer party on the lake. Because their home is right off the water. we’re working on making the space as durable as possible, while still feeling soft and inviting.

THE PROGRESS

We selected an amazing modular sofa for this space to maximize seating and give our clients a piece of furniture that was distinct and unique. Each piece we chose for this space brings in tons of personality, from the side tables to the accessories, making it the kind of place you always want to show off.

WHAT’S NEXT

The final reveal! Remember, they say good things come to those who wait.

Fun Little Details

Seattle Home Interior Design Progress.001

WHAT WE’RE WORKING ON

“I don’t want a hidden door.” Said no one ever. We concepted a “Scooby Doo” style hidden door in the basement level that leads to our clients’ wine cellar.

THE PROGRESS

What started as an awkward under-stair opening is now one of the coolest features in the home, for both the kids and the parents. We can’t imagine a better setting for a wine tasting party

We are just as excited as our clients to see the progress on their home. The transformation has been amazing so far and we love hearing how much our clients are loving their space as it comes together. We’ve barely scratched the surface of the details behind this project, so keep your eyes out for more progress updates on the other areas of the home!
