We’re making a BIG announcement on MONDAY!
You won’t be disappointed.

You know our new fashion contributor (and good friend), Millermae? Well, I think it’s pretty evident in her bridal portraits, by Dallas photographer Heather Hawkins, why we love her…. All her choices were flawless!
She wore a covetable Monique Lhuillier gown from Neiman Marcus. The florals were from our friends at Bows and Arrows. Her shoes were Badgley Mischka. And, her jewelry choices were personal with a custom ring and her Grandmother’s earrings.

We are so happy for our dear friend who met the love of her life and tied the knot in a personal way. They ran away (with their family’s blessing, of course) to Big Sur’s Post Ranch Inn on (and in memory of) her late-dad’s birthday.
You can see the rest of her bridal portraits on HeatherHawkinsPhoto.com.
And, Mrs. Millermae, you still have me drooling over your honeymoon instagrams…
Congrats, you two!

I just returned from another trip back to Pulp’s motherland, Dallas, to receive an award for our company. We decided to extend the trip to a more than week-long stay so we could celebrate the holiday with family. It was really great to spend some time there, see old friends, enjoy family, and attend some client meetings that I’ve been missing. After a much needed break for our entire team, I’m back with a quick photo-recap of our time away…
01: Got to ride a brand new plane on it’s first non-test flight! // 02: Attended a Pulp Design Studios presentation for our new restaurant client. // 03: Benefit to having a restaurant client… You get to dine while presenting. // 04: Later than night, Carolina and I had some pre-award gala drinks. // 05: Carolina and I were presented the Rising Star in Interior Design award from Fashion Group International. We were stunned and grateful for the huge production they put on. // 06: Our new office addition. // 07: Went to see the long anticipated finale to the Twilight Series the following morning… A not-so-guilty pleasure of mine! // 08: Cooking up my favorite Grown-Up Mac & Cheese recipe for Thanksgiving. // 09: Post-feast snuggles on Turkey Day, surrounded by family. // 10: Seeing cousins bond, like cousins do… The best. // 11: Got into the holiday spirit after seeing Santa before we left for the airport. A great way to get ourselves pumped for our first holiday season in Seattle.
How was your Thanksgiving break??

Some of our Pulp Design Studios clients need everything (plus the kitchen sink) to furnish their home. It can be incredibly fun to have a blank canvas to design with… But, there are also some clients who have impecable taste, love to collect, and want to bring us in to elevate their style. We help them bring it all together in a way that takes their space to the next level of beauty and function. That’s where this client comes in…
We love how this client’s modern home is coming along!
So, what type are you??
Do you have everything you need and just need to pull it together? Or, do you want to just start from scratch?

Today our co-Principal Interior Designer, Carolina V Gentry, appeared on FOX 4 Good Day in Dallas and was announced as the Habitat for Humanity Design Duel winner…. That’s right!
WE WON!!
Thank you to all who voted for our firm! And, a huge thanks to our Pulp Design Studios Dallas team of Hilary Walker & Scot Rampley.
See the clip as Carolina is announced as the winner and see how we got the entire look using only items from the Habitat for Humanity ReStores.

A designer’s work is never done…
Many of our PULP Design Clients work with us continually when they move, get married, have babies, or just simply want to update. This particular long-time client found a pair of vintage x-benches that she wanted to introduce into a space that we had already designed (see her PULP designed home here).
When we develop long-lasting relationships with our clients, it’s as easy as one email from our client and we take care of the rest! We picked up the ottomans, sourced the fabric, found the best bid for re-covering, oversaw the details during production, and coordinated delivery back to our client’s home…. And, the result is a stunning new pair of ottomans that adds to the amazing space we already created!
You’ve gotta love that.
We thought this masculine powder bath, we designed for a Pulp Design Studios client, was perfect for setting a spooky mood on this Halloween day… We hope you have a fabulous, candy corn and cocktail-filled, Halloween planned!!
What is everyone dressing up as?

Whether it be modern fashion or stylish interiors, I’m a total sucker for an unexpected accent! This poppy red is totally inspiring me right now to be a little more bold, with some restraint.
What’s your favorite pop of color this season??
ONE: Twin Triangles Necklace // TWO: Eames Moulded Plastic Arm Chair // THREE: Proenza Schouler Pump // FOUR: Marc by Marc Jacobs Cardigan // FIVE: Blu Dot Cant Writing Desk

If you ever wanted to know more about the inspiration behind why we broke away from the corporate design world to start Pulp Design Studios, what’s behind our design process and unique approach to interior design, why our designs go beyond a beautiful space, and what exciting things we have in the works… This article on Pink Memo is the one to read! We got to really share our vision in this article, and we’re excited for what’s to come.
After reading, did you learn anything new about us?

The season is changing here in Seattle and it is just beautiful! This will be my first Seattle autumn since moving here and I can’t wait to see what it has to offer. So far, it’s stunning and there is a perfect chill in the air. We’ve been hitting the street fair and farmers market for fresh produce and trying new eateries. And, of course, with fall comes school pictures…
Having a ball, huh?
I think he inhereted his Mom’s sarcasm.
Hope that gives you a little laugh this Monday!
