PULP Custom: Green Croc X-Benches

A designer’s work is never done…

Many of our PULP Design Clients work with us continually when they move, get married, have babies, or just simply want to update. This particular long-time client found a pair of vintage x-benches that she wanted to introduce into a space that we had already designed (see her PULP designed home here).

When we develop long-lasting relationships with our clients, it’s as easy as one email from our client and we take care of the rest! We picked up the ottomans, sourced the fabric, found the best bid for re-covering, oversaw the details during production, and coordinated delivery back to our client’s home…. And, the result is a stunning new pair of ottomans that adds to the amazing space we already created!

You’ve gotta love that.

An Interview With Pulp…

PINK MEMO, elizabeth o'mahoney, interior design award, interview with interior designer, pulp design studios, beth dotolo, carolina gentry

If you ever wanted to know more about the inspiration behind why we broke away from the corporate design world to start Pulp Design Studios, what’s behind our design process and unique approach to interior design, why our designs go beyond a beautiful space, and what exciting things we have in the works… This article on Pink Memo is the one to read! We got to really share our vision in this article, and we’re excited for what’s to come.

Postcards from Seattle….

The season is changing here in Seattle and it is just beautiful! This will be my first Seattle autumn since moving here and I can’t wait to see what it has to offer. So far, it’s stunning and there is a perfect chill in the air. We’ve been hitting the street fair and farmers market for fresh produce and trying new eateries. And, of course, with fall comes school pictures…

Having a ball, huh?

I think he inhereted his Mom’s sarcasm.

Hope that gives you a little laugh this Monday!

Less is more with our Dallas client’s modern Master Bedroom.

We’re such a fan of our client’s cheeky nursery wallpaper.

We added some personality to this client’s condo with a kitchen gallery wall.

This client’s Great Room renovation will be dramatic and serene all in one.

Pulp Around the Web

We introduced our amazing new fashion contributor on Monday!

By Tuesday she came out swinging with some killer sale alerts on a fall staple.

Carolina shared her printable recipe for her natural homemade cleaner.

The PULP Design Duel killed it! The Life Styled & Smitten Studio are daily reads of mine.

Carolina, Hilary, and Scot are hard at work in the Dallas office on the Habitat for Humanity Design Duel.

I shared the recipe for my instagram-famous tomato soup & roasted beet salad.

Happy Friday!

The Best Tomato Soup Recipe + A Roasted Beet Salad

I posted this photo last month of my delicious homemade lunch on my instagram, and got some comments, texts, and even emails asking for the recipes. So, I had to share! This is one of those delicious meals that you can make on Sunday and eat all week long. It’s a favorite of mine for lunch, especially in the autumn when everything is in season and there is a chill in the air. Get the printable recipes below to see how to make your own soup from scratch and even how to roast beets… It’s a cinch!

Pulp Custom: Playing With Stripes

There’s nothing like a good pillow to tie a room together. And, we love how these custom striped pillows turned out for our Dallas Interior Design client’s formal living room. We’ve been working with this fashionista for some time now. Her fashion style is tailored and impeccable and her home should be no different. We got to play with some stripes in a fun way to tie together her fearless, yet balanced space, to make it a fashion-minded interior. Like any good wardrobe, she’s got timeless staple pieces in her furniture and we brought in some to-die-for accessories in the form of custom pillows. A lot like fashion, you can be conservative in your core choices and fearless with the bling.

Are you the type to be fearless in your interior? Or do you prefer to be more conservative?

Friday’s Splendid Links
