A Night In: Olympic Opening Ceremony

Tonight kicks off the 2012 Summer Olympics with the famous opening ceremony!

I think sometimes we fixate so much on getting dressed to go out or having big get together with friends, that we just forget to enjoy our nights in at home. We’re starting our A Night In series, to remind ourselves to romanticize and really make the most of our time at home. Like we say, what’s a beautiful space if you don’t live in it?! But, back to the Olympics…

Before + After: A Zebra Stool

We just had to share how these precious little stools turned out! They started with a frame that our client picked up from a little shop in Dallas, called Again & Again. We selected a gorgeous zebra hide and took them to our workroom to add a fabulous pop in this client’s space. It’s amazing how you can turn a wood frame into a sexy accent for your space. Keep reading to see the before & more of the after…

Design Development: A Pulp Custom Quartz Lamp + An Entry

At Pulp Design Studios, one of our very favorite things to do is customize… custom. custom. custom. We love everything about it… the end result & the process. Many times, as designers, we know what we want but it simply doesn’t exist. So, we bring it to life. We love to give our clients something that they, and only they, have. And, this very fashion forward client needed something outstanding for her Entry space.

This is how our PULP custom quartz lamp came to be…

A Pulp Project: Cowtown Chic

orange and blue guest room, jamie young, made goods, Edward Ferrell Lewis Mitman, Pulp Design Studios

One of our favorite things about our Pulp Design Studios clients, is that most of them are lifers. We get to work with people & families as they grow, move out of state, and make life changes. This particular project is one of our favorite families to work with… We’ve been through four residences with them collectively now and they are such a joy to work with. Fashion forward, tasteful, and willing to take a risk are amazing qualities to have in a client! This pair of Guest Rooms was designed for two sisters in a Fort Worth residence. They double as their home away from home, and as guest rooms for visitors.
