Some may call it a ‘fashion rut’, but my bff Carolina likes to call it a ‘uniform’. Whatever you call it… I love my summer uniform!

The Boyfriend Tee from Target has been my ongoing choice this summer… And, yes, I do own them in ALL of those colors! It’s only $8, it’s super comfortable, and I like to both dress it up & dress it down.

For a party I dressed up my white tee with my ReWeRKeD vest, locket, a pair of jeggings, and heels. And, for lounging around the house, I just wear it with a pair of shorts and flip flops. I even sleep in them!

Here’s the rub – I haven’t been able to find them online, only in-store.

I am just so ready for summer to be over and for the romantic fall vibe to enter in… I’m ready to stop wearing shorts and tank tops and usher in a little romantic flutter and some layer! Today is the 48th day of consecutive days over 100 degrees…

This weekend our little Maxton was baptized! It was such an amazing weekend… My Dad and Stepmom came in town & the whole family was together (minus my step-sisters that I missed dearly). Kevin’s brother & father both stepped in as Godfathers & my best friend and business partner, Carolina, is Max’s Godmother.

Let me tell you, the day didn’t really go as planned… Max was teething and was a HOT mess! He was a holy terror (excuse the pun). But, it was such a great day. Max pulled it together and all the right moments! Really, it’s just so nice to have a support system all around you and have a parent tell you how proud they are of what you’ve accomplished. It just makes you feel loved.

Thanks to my awesome family… and to Carolina & her hubby Lafe who are a part of our family, too… for being there for Max’s big day.

This weekend we’re having Maxton baptized and my family, including my Dad, is coming in town… and, it’s my Dad’s birthday! This will only be the 2nd time I’ve ever spent his birthday with my Dad, so I’m excited! It’s going to be a good time! I can’t wait to be with family… I miss them! I’ll have plenty of great pictures to show you after this weekend…

It. Was. Chaos!

But, I have to say… It was the coolest thing! We got invited by a family at Max’s school, so some of his schoolmates were there. I had no idea that Max actually had real friends! He and two other boys stuck together and played like crazy. It was amazing to see Max’s face light up when he saw them & to see him just have a BLAST! If you want to unleash your little animal, take them to Indoor Safari Park in Plano, TX. It was actually a very cool place!

Now to plan Max’s 2nd birthday party! Any ideas??

This week I’ll be attending a local interior design trade show, called Metrocon! It’s a great time to network & it’s when Carolina & I get all of our continuing education credits to maintain our Interior Design license. It’s a real beating, but we’ve got to do it in style! Now how can I pick just one??

It’s been a while since I posted a little piece of me! Carolina and I have just been cranking away at business, I’ve been enjoying family (and friends), and… I seem to have made a new little friend! Anyone know why this squirrel is taking naps on my patio? At 110 degrees this week, my thought is that he’s come here to die! But, seriously, anyone know squirrel habits? He’s not nesting is he?
