After moving to Portland, our client called upon Pulp to help her take a dated bathroom and transform it into a modern retreat with flair. Having worked with us before, this client, a design editor at Gray Magazine, knew we could take the 1920’s roots of her newly purchased home and create a modern space, while still paying homage to the home’s history.

1. Lighting. A table lamp creates stylistic flair, ambiance and functionality. Plus, you’ll have a little light for navigation during late arrivals or early departures.

2. Artistic Catch-All. Any time you are presented with a storage challenge, you have to make it stylish. Opt for an artistic and interesting bowl to store your keys, wallet, priorities– you name it.

Overscaled lighting is the epitome of how you make a statement through design. Illuminating and artistic, this concept is both head-turning and functional. We spotted this piece in Architectural Digest, photographed by Miguel Flores-Vianna.
