We are trucking along on our #HighlandParkContemporary renovation and wanted to share just some of the progress… These photos were taken earlier this week and, if you can believe it, our Pulp Design Studios‘ clients are moving in today. Yes, you heard right…. today! Our designers are installing furniture as we speak. Of course, the full reveal will be later this year when we’re all done and when all of the furniture arrives.
That beauty of this project is that our homeowners had the foresight to bring us in as their designers at the very beginning of the project planning process. We were able to plan and order the furniture simultaneously with the planning and design of construction related items for a cohesive and well-timed design.
But, for now, take a look at the progress we’ve made in the kitchen and bath…
Fabulous, yes!? The real question is…. When can WE move in?
We’re just popping in to share a quick little Before & After from one of the interior design projects we’re working on… The #PonderModern Residence. You know how we love our Before & After’s! It’s just amazing what you can do to transform a piece of furniture.
In this case, we wanted to take a couple of pieces and overhaul them for a more cohesive look with the rest of the design. The ottoman needed a major makeover… the chair? Not so bad, really! But, it still didn’t align with our design intent or coordinate with the other pieces.
So, feast your eyes on these workroom sneak peeks…
We’re looking forward to getting these pieces to their new home and sharing the design with you!
Let’s not fool ourselves… I’m shopping for myself here! I am in the process of re-designing my Master Bedroom and with the small Seattle space I live in, I’m a little short on space and storage. I’m currently in search for the perfect 3-drawer nighstands that can double as dressers. I’ve pulled together a few of my favorites during my hunt with a little something for everyone… Decisions, decisions.
I know I have my favorite…. But, which one suits YOUR style?
All the nightstands shown here are from our Pulp Design Studios trade sources and not available for retail purchase direct from the vendors. If you’re interested in any, give us a shout… Oh, the benefits of being friends with a designer. xx

We are making progress on our #HighlandParkContemporary renovation and it’s looking pretty stellar! It’s amazing when we look back at the ‘before’ photos and see how the space is coming together…
We just wanted to pop in a share just a small portion of the transformation. Even in it’s raw form, it’s heads and tails above what it was! Take a look at the life-cycle of this new staircase, from ‘before’ to ‘in-progress’ to ‘almost there’…
Obviously, there is still work to be done and we’re still under construction… but, what a transformation, huh!? It’s amazing what a little vision from a design professional can do to transform your space. Some would be surprised at what potential lies within your home!
I’ve been really slacking on reading blogs lately, but a while back Carolina sent me a link to The Hunted Interior and I immediately subscribed. Any blog that I can subscribe to by email is a win for me since there are just not enough hours in the day to go ‘hunting’, if you will. Well, Kristen of The Hunted Interior just completed the most stunning end table makeover using our Pulp Home Starburst Pulls! See for yourself…
We’ve been working on a home renovation & design project outside of Chicago, our #GlenviewResidence, since last year and it’s finally all starting to come together! This Pulp Design Studios client sent us some update photos recently and we couldn’t wait to share. We’re head to Chicago to wrap up some design details and photograph the project. Though not complete, here are some sneak peeks at a few rooms of the project….
Thanks to our client for sharing images… We can’t wait to get out to the amazing city of Chicago and finalize this project for our amazing client!
Back to school season has always been one of my favorites… I love the perfect pen & the perfect vessel to hold that pen. I love the perfect organizer and the perfect calculator. The fun never ends! But, now that I’m all grown up and school has been long gone for years, I get to play back to school with stylish desk accessories & styling!
Have fun shopping some fun styles we curated to elevate your own office:
We recently completed a project, #CuratedComfort, for a fashion forward client in Dallas (who happens to work in publishing and is the Texas representative for Allure magazine). Due to the nature of her business and the fact that she and her husband were expecting her first child, their residence had to be completed with the utmost of style, on a budget, and completed in a hurry… No small feat!
With our client in mind, we adapted our services to fit their needs and cultivated an amazing space from mostly retail sources. Dallas Child magazine summed up our project well when they said “As an expectant mother, Dori Neil Araiza turned to Carolina Gentry of Pulp Design Studios to whip together the interiors of her new Preston Hollow home – with the intention of cultivating a look that appeared curated over time rather than assembled in less than six months.”
Here are a few shots from our recently completed space….
We are in the midst of expediting for a Pulp Design Studios project in-progress, our #DoubleOakResidence in Texas. Part of the expediting and design process includes workroom visits to check in on custom items. Here are a few progress shots of a dresser that we recently redesigned… It’s fun to see how we completely changed the look of this piece and the progress that went into it. Sometimes, all is takes is a fresh coat of paint, some gorgeous Pulp Home Starburst Pulls, and some love from your designers!
We’re looking forward to getting these beauties into their transformed space when all the other goodies arrive! Stay tuned, come install day…
Should we admit that we secretly love it when our clients move after we’ve completed their first project? Our Pulp Design Studios team gets to breathe new life into a previous design, rekindle those relationships with client’s past, and create a new look by redesigning their new spaces and introducing new pieces. We recently started the process of this new project, #SpanishEclectic, with great furniture placement and an art installation. Here’s a sneak peek into what we’ve done so far…
