#GlenviewResidence: A Quick Update…

We’ve been working on a home renovation & design project outside of Chicago, our #GlenviewResidence, since last year and it’s finally all starting to come together! This Pulp Design Studios client sent us some update photos recently and we couldn’t wait to share. We’re head to Chicago to wrap up some design details and photograph the project. Though not complete, here are some sneak peeks at a few rooms of the project….

Thanks to our client for sharing images… We can’t wait to get out to the amazing city of Chicago and finalize this project for our amazing client!

Back to School: The Stylish Desk for Grownups!

Why should kids have all the fun!?

Back to school season has always been one of my favorites… I love the perfect pen & the perfect vessel to hold that pen. I love the perfect organizer and the perfect calculator. The fun never ends! But, now that I’m all grown up and school has been long gone for years, I get to play back to school with stylish desk accessories & styling!

Have fun shopping some fun styles we curated to elevate your own office:

Of course, I haven’t forsaken the pursuit of the perfect writing instrument… But, this is equally as fun, isn’t it? Who’s with me?

New Work A Magazine Feature: #CuratedComfort

We recently completed a project, #CuratedComfort, for a fashion forward client in Dallas (who happens to work in publishing and is the Texas representative for Allure magazine). Due to the nature of her business and the fact that she and her husband were expecting her first child, their residence had to be completed with the utmost of style, on a budget, and completed in a hurry… No small feat!

With our client in mind, we adapted our services to fit their needs and cultivated an amazing space from mostly retail sources. Dallas Child magazine summed up our project well when they said “As an expectant mother, Dori Neil Araiza turned to Carolina Gentry of Pulp Design Studios to whip together the interiors of her new Preston Hollow home – with the intention of cultivating a look that appeared curated over time rather than assembled in less than six months.”

Here are a few shots from our recently completed space….

#DoubleOakResidence: Before & After Nightstands

We are in the midst of expediting for a Pulp Design Studios project in-progress, our #DoubleOakResidence in Texas. Part of the expediting and design process includes workroom visits to check in on custom items. Here are a few progress shots of a dresser that we recently redesigned… It’s fun to see how we completely changed the look of this piece and the progress that went into it. Sometimes, all is takes is a fresh coat of paint, some gorgeous Pulp Home Starburst Pulls, and some love from your designers!

We’re looking forward to getting these beauties into their transformed space when all the other goodies arrive! Stay tuned, come install day…

I mean, c’mon. Aren’t those starburst pulls stunning?

#SpanishEclectic: Art Installation & New Beginnings…

Should we admit that we secretly love it when our clients move after we’ve completed their first project? Our Pulp Design Studios team gets to breathe new life into a previous design, rekindle those relationships with client’s past, and create a new look by redesigning their new spaces and introducing new pieces. We recently started the process of this new project, #SpanishEclectic, with great furniture placement and an art installation. Here’s a sneak peek into what we’ve done so far…

Stay tuned for much more to come on this Pulp Design Studios project…

The Copper Kitchen Trend

There is a huge trend emerging in the kitchen, and interiors for that matter! We’ve been seeing it for a while, but copper is making a comeback in a big way. And, it’s hitting the mainstream! From lighting, to cocktail accessories, to kitchen accents… this warm metal is totally tugging at my designer heartstrings.

Would you dare warm up to the copper trend in your kitchen?

NEW WORK: #SophisticatedComfort Living Room & Kitchen

Project Process: #QueenAnneCraftsman Wallcovering Installation

We’ve been rockin’ and rollin’ over on our Instagram… So, we figured, why not roll with this whole hashtag thing?! We think it makes it exciting to follow along on the design process of our Pulp Projects before they’re completed and be able to place a photo to a project! You can now follow project process on our Instagram and right here on our blog as we fill you in on, not only completed work, but projects in-process, as well. Without further ado….

A little update on our #QueenAnneCraftsman project:

You may have seen photos of rolls of wall covering as we received custom samples and rolls for installation on our Instagram. If you “oooh’ed and ahhhh’ed” over them the way we did, just wait until you see these beauties installed.

Installation day for the wall covering finally arrived last week at #QueenAnneCraftsman and it was just as amazing as we imagined for this Seattle home! The Entry ceiling is adorned in a graphic and tonal pattern, the powder bath has a pop of personality with a custom colored blowfish wall covering, and the dining room is covered from floor to ceiling in a beaded graphic white wall paper. It’s all to-die-for and just begging to receive all of the lighting and furniture we purchased for this space…

We simply can’t wait until all of the lighting is installed and furniture arrives!

Before & After: Elegant-Mod Kitchen Renovation

Yesterday, we launched our latest project on the Pulp Design Studios site and posted Before & After photos of the Master Suite renovation.

Today, we wanted to share the kitchen with you. It’s amazing what a few small changes will do to completely change the look of a space. Our client’s didn’t want to spend a ton of money on renovating the kitchen, but it needed to flow with the rest of the house. With a few good design decisions, we managed to completely transform this kitchen on a budget.

Take a look at the Before & Afters…

Don’t forget to hop over to the Pulp site to read all about this renovation….

And, as always, if you have a space you’d love to get the ‘Pulp treatment’, give us a shout and tell us about your project
