It’s hard to believe August is just a day away. Summer has flown by with a flurry of activity in the Pulp Design Studios’ Dallas and Seattle offices.
If you follow us on Instagram you’ve likely taken note of the Seattle office’s gorgeous new digs. Beth and the rest of the Seattle team are thrilled with their new space and location. The large windows, high ceilings, exposed brick and steel beams serve as a perfect backdrop for the clean and modern workspace. The team has been adding final finishing touches, incorporating gorgeous pieces from the PulpHome.com collection. Of course the pièce de résistance is the oh so glamorous chandelier that illuminates the central conference table, an ideal spot for client presentations, team meetings and impromptu cocktail hours. Knowing such a beautiful space is waiting for you really does make going to work each morning an absolute pleasure. You just can’t help but feel inspired!
To celebrate the new office space, as well as Co-Owner and Principal Interior Designer Carolina V Gentry’s visit to the Northwest, the Pulp team enjoyed an evening of sips and light bites. A personal fave was Beth’s signature summer drink.
It’s five o’clock somewhere, go fix yourself a drink and join us in toasting the Pulp Design Studios’ team. CHEERS!
We are thrilled to see one of the projects that we are still working on featured in the glossy pages of the July Issue of Seattle Magazine!
Pulp Design Studios‘ project, #QueenAnneCraftsman, features some bold designs and patterns that we are incredibly excited about… Our clients have been amazing, giving us full trust to help them determine their vision and execute their space. The results have been something really special, that the local press have been excited about (after getting some sneak peeks on our Pulp instagram) even prior to the project’s completion.
Just wait until we’re complete!

We’ve said it before, but, we’ll say it again… The power of paint is amazing! We started working with our Pulp Design Studiosclients at our #Mantlebrook project a couple of years ago. We had the chance to help renovate their kitchen and we are now starting up on other rooms in the house. The painting in the Formal Living Room was recently completed and we just had to pop in and share…
Can you believe the difference!? It’s night and day… The white paint is so much more fresh and much needed. Obviously, we still need to get our hands on the space and are working on the furnishings and some additional paint updates around the fireplace. But, it’s just a breath of fresh air that we’ve been waiting a couple of years to see! So happy to have clients who trust us when we say “paint the brick” or “paint the wood”. It’s such a hard commitment, but so worth it.

We recently had a client turn to our team at Pulp Design Studios with a design dilemma. Among other things, their fireplace was falling flat in their space. At our #PrestonwoodModern project we reworked this floor-to-ceiling fireplace wall and gave it a new stone facelift.
This gorgeous new cladding and other additional touches really added a bit of contrast and luxuriousness to the space. We love the simplicity of it, while still providing some natural texture.

Since we saw these black and white inlay boxes at High Point Furnishing Market, we’ve been obsessed! We’ve since stocked up our Pulp Home inventory with these stunning boxes, and of course had to snag some for ourselves! See how our co-owners, Beth & Carolina, both used them in their own homes…
How stylish are these boxes!? They make a great housewarming gift or fun box for stashing things around the house, like jewelry, matchbooks, or spare change.
It’s pretty fun to look through progress photos of a residence and see how a space begins to come together. Pulp Design Studiosis currently working on a project in the Dallas area and we thought it would be fun to share the progress of this client’s dining room at our #StonelakeChic project…
Of course, this space is far from done… We’ve got lots more layers and art planned for this space. But, how great is it to see what a gorgeous coat of bold paint and a new light fixture can do to transform a space!?
And, an art gallery never hurts! Our client loves to collect artwork from their travels and activities and they were having trouble finding a home for many of their pieces after moving from a small home to a home with tall ceilings and lots of wall space. So, we decided to begin the process of doing a full floor to ceiling gallery in their dining room. We can’t wait to share how it all comes together…

Don’t you love a fresh start?? It’s a new year and we’re beginning several new interior design projects at Pulp Design Studios. We are in the Design Development phase for several projects, including this one…. our #BluffviewResidence in Dallas.
A soothing palette with lots of plays on pattern and texture is just what this project calls for and it suits our client splendidly! There is a soft touch to this space that we are creating for our residents that makes this interior incredibly livable, yet still dynamic. We can’t wait to share how this design unfolds…
