I’m Baaaack! If you don’t remember me I was previously an intern and design assistant with Pulp Design Studios and now I’m back as a junior designer. I have had the pleasure to know and work with Beth and Carolina for eight years and they are AMAZING! I am excited to grow and learn from them, one thing in particular is blogging as I have never done this there is a slight learning curve.

So here goes….

Nursery Sneak Peek with Tottini & Abnormals Anonymous

We’ve been working on a fun project lately! Pulp Design Studios & Pulp Home have partnered with Tottini (a modern kid’s shop in Seattle) and Abnormals Anonymous (an amazing wall covering company we’ve been using for clients lately)… We can’t share details yet, but here’s a little sneak peek at yesterday’s install in Seattle:

Stay tuned on developments, because you may get to be a part of this little project… Details to come!

Studio Update: Scheming & Designing

It’s been a busy, busy time for Pulp lately! As you can probably tell from our lack of posts last week, both the Dallas & Seattle offices were fully engaged in Pulp Design Studios‘ project installs, we were processing orders for Pulp Home like crazy, and we were designing up a storm to meet design deadlines…

Here’s a sneak peek at a couple of the projects we were scheming up for our clients. #QueenAnneCraftsman is getting a soothing and dynamic Master Bedroom and #WestSeattleTownhome is getting a stylish and dramatic makeover. We love how bold our clients have been lately, giving us the trust to play with pattern and color.

We’ve been hearing “It’s so us!” or “It’s so me!” a lot lately… It’s so fun when we get to articulate our client’s style when they didn’t know how to get there themselves. Hey, it’s what we do!

We will be popping back in this week for some installation updates… Stay tuned!

#HighlandParkContemporary: Kitchen & Bath Progress

We are trucking along on our #HighlandParkContemporary renovation and wanted to share just some of the progress… These photos were taken earlier this week and, if you can believe it, our Pulp Design Studios‘ clients are moving in today. Yes, you heard right…. today! Our designers are installing furniture as we speak. Of course, the full reveal will be later this year when we’re all done and when all of the furniture arrives.

That beauty of this project is that our homeowners had the foresight to bring us in as their designers at the very beginning of the project planning process. We were able to plan and order the furniture simultaneously with the planning and design of construction related items for a cohesive and well-timed design.

But, for now, take a look at the progress we’ve made in the kitchen and bath…

Fabulous, yes!? The real question is…. When can WE move in?

#PonderModern: Chair & Ottoman Before and After

We’re just popping in to share a quick little Before & After from one of the interior design projects we’re working on… The #PonderModern Residence. You know how we love our Before & After’s! It’s just amazing what you can do to transform a piece of furniture.

In this case, we wanted to take a couple of pieces and overhaul them for a more cohesive look with the rest of the design. The ottoman needed a major makeover… the chair? Not so bad, really! But, it still didn’t align with our design intent or coordinate with the other pieces.

So, feast your eyes on these workroom sneak peeks…

We’re looking forward to getting these pieces to their new home and sharing the design with you!

Three-Drawer Nightstand Roundup

Let’s not fool ourselves… I’m shopping for myself here! I am in the process of re-designing my Master Bedroom and with the small Seattle space I live in, I’m a little short on space and storage. I’m currently in search for the perfect 3-drawer nighstands that can double as dressers. I’ve pulled together a few of my favorites during my hunt with a little something for everyone… Decisions, decisions.

I know I have my favorite…. But, which one suits YOUR style?

All the nightstands shown here are from our Pulp Design Studios trade sources and not available for retail purchase direct from the vendors. If you’re interested in any, give us a shout… Oh, the benefits of being friends with a designer. xx

#HighlandParkContemporary: A Step In the Right Direction

We are making progress on our #HighlandParkContemporary renovation and it’s looking pretty stellar! It’s amazing when we look back at the ‘before’ photos and see how the space is coming together…

We just wanted to pop in a share just a small portion of the transformation. Even in it’s raw form, it’s heads and tails above what it was! Take a look at the life-cycle of this new staircase, from ‘before’ to ‘in-progress’ to ‘almost there’…

Obviously, there is still work to be done and we’re still under construction… but, what a transformation, huh!? It’s amazing what a little vision from a design professional can do to transform your space. Some would be surprised at what potential lies within your home!
